DESCRIPTION:Five Lamps Arts Festival is coming soon\,  they’ve organised lots of events in the garden to coincide with our Spring Fair on 9th April! \nLots of free events in Mud Island as part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival\, including:\n\nAll day: Hiding a forest in plain sight – free trees!\n12 pm Dream Badge Machine with artist Fiona Dowling\n1 pm I Remember – a reading by Niamh Gleeson of her children’s story\n1 – 5 pm Interactive Dinosaur Puppet Show with Dale Treadwell\n2 pm Poetry reading with Jan Brierton\n4 pm Turbante-Se – workshop on headwraps and turbans (this one has to be pre-booked and costs from €10-€20)\n6 pm Traditional Irish Music on the caravan stage\n7 pm Singer Songwriter Patrick Stefan on the caravan stage\n\n  \nView brochure here \n

SUMMARY:Mud Island Spring Fair Saturday 2022
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again when thoughts turn to Mud Island’s annual Spring Fair! We’ve been missing it these past two years….\nThis year the Fair happily coincides with the Five Lamps Arts Festival\, so they’ll be curating some musical surprises for you on our Caravan stage. We’ll circulate full details of the fair later this week. If you haven’t paid your 2022 membership yet\, we’ll have a membership desk at the fair so you’ll have the opportunity to pay then. \nIn the meantime if any of you would like to volunteer an hour of your time to help out with the Cafe\, let us know? We need 18 volunteers – it helps to have three on at any one time. Also let us know if there’s a particular time between 12 and 6 pm that suits best? This year we hope to operate the cafe from the newly renovated cottage on site\, and this year all profits from the cafe will go towards our Ukrainian appeal. \nSee you at the fair on the 9th April!
