Rewilded spaces – a celebration

August 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

After our Repair club and hopefully some bike TLC & engraving, we will host an amazing event with :

5:30 ‘Terrestrial Sounds’ Performance and Discussion
‘Terrestrial Sounds’ is a noisy sound making compost bin
broadcasting sounds of ‘terrestrial’ beings that reclaim and rewild
green space in Dublin City. Vocal artist Siobhán Kavanagh has been
connecting with members of community gardens in Dublin 8 (both
human and more than human) collecting sounds and stories
highlighting the importance of having access to green space in cities.

With a hope to connect with other ‘terrestrial’ communities – Siobhán
will bring ‘Terrestrial Sounds’ to Mud Island Community Garden for 15
minute live music performance combining acoustic ecologies,
soundbites from interviews and a dub reggae track made in
collaboration with Mr Upfull (aka Salim Dastan).

Siobhán will discuss
the process behind the work and is inviting members and visitors to
contribute and share stories of their experience of rewilded spaces. Haiku participants will be invited to share their experience and stories.
