Welcome to ALLoT – A Library of Things for All @ Mud Island Community Garden
Live More x Use Less
About
Have you ever bought something for a one-off job, only for it to sit gathering dust in a cupboard? ALLoT, a Library of Things at Mud Island Community Garden, is a sharing shed of useful items, where you can borrow things when you need them, instead of buying them. Whether it’s a tool for a DIY project, equipment for a special event, or something new you’d like to try, the Lending Library gives access to things you need, while saving money, reducing clutter, and cutting down on waste.
Sharing resources offers a win for your wallet, a win for our community and a win for the planet, what’s not to like? It brings people together. Every item borrowed is part of a simple idea: when we share more, we create less waste, own less clutter and consume less stuff. At Mud Island Community Garden we are not only growing in the garden! We are nurturing a Circular community culture of reuse, sharing and repair. It’s an opportunity to take practical steps to climate action, develop new skills, share resources and think about a more sustainable future for all. If there is something you are looking for not in the Library yet, get in touch, we may be able to help.
