Mud Island Community Garden is delighted to be one of the ten gardens nationally awarded a place on Irish Seed Savers Association Community Seed Guardian Programme! Starting on 26th February and taking place over the next 6 months, it will help us develop #communityseedresilience for the future by providing training and mentoring in seed growing and seed saving with experienced facilitators. Thanks are due to Rethink Ireland and The Community Foundation for Ireland for their support for this programme. We’ll learn the steps to enhance our seed supply without having to rely on food seed imports. We look forward to meeting up with the other gardens involved, including our friends up at Gairdín Gortahork in OURganic Gardens! Watch this space for more info on this exciting programme! #communityseed #seedsaving
